BAD CALLS!

Does anyone agree that there have been some bad calls in this year’s world cup?  How about the game between  United States versus Slovenia, and Germany versus England.  In the game between England and Germany, Frank Lampard strategically placed the ball over the german keeper’s head, Manuel Neuer, and it hit the underside of the crossbar with a backspin.  The backspin caused the ball to cross the line and thus scoring a goal.  The ref didn’t have the right perspective to see that it clearly crossed the line, so there was no goal.

The refs are supposed to be the authority in the game that you can trust to judge the game fairly and honestly.  If you can’t trust them to have the proper perspective then there is no point in playing the game.  The world does not have the right perspective to make fair calls in our lives.  If we can’t put our trust in the world, who do we trust?  Trust in God.

Our country is founded upon that principle, is not the statement, “In God we trust” placed on every dollar bill to remind us who is the ultimate source of truth.  How do we trust in Him? Live His gospel!  He has given us the Bible, and the Book of Mormon, and modern-day prophets to make calls that we can trust.  Also we can communicate to Him through sincere prayer, and recieve answers.  God ALWAYS has the right perspective and can provide us with the guidance that we need.  With a ref that makes fair calls there is a purpose to the game.  With a God that is fair there is purpose to life.

I agree. Its simple to see that man’s judgment is always going to have faults.
If you look back through history you can see in many instances where the judgments of men have altered results of major things. God Is the source of true knowledge because he is all knowing and omnipotent. In the scriptures it repeatedly tells us that we should trust in God, and he will deliver us. Our purpose driven lives actually have a fair and just God who loves us unconditionally.
